Well if you can put pics up of your nissan that would be cool!
So what are you after? you said you liked the MY00's but you can get newer for quite cheap.. If you didnt hit boost too much the trip over the nullabor would have been decent on fuel =]

Fuel in the WRX over oz wasnt that bad really.
Im pretty set on a MY99 in WRC Blue im looking at one on sunday, ive got finance all ready to go, just have to find an honest car. Looked at a few pigs over the past 2 weeks. Ill try and post up some across oz pics.

Can you share the link of the MY99 if there is one? Your definantly getting one of the best models, 99/00. Colour coded door handles, front grill, interior etc. Not easy to find an "honest" car.. they are a drivers car. But best of luck mate.

The signs where misleading, we didnt see a single wombat, camel or roo.
Saw an eagle but that was it really. Only saw 1 pig in rural NSW as well. Pretty lucky.
