Default New 02 STI owner

Hi All, Have just joined forum. Recently purchased a 02 STI for a second car. Intension is to set it up as a weekend circuit car, and participate in most of the WRX track outings, "Off Limits" series, WROO sprint series etc etc. Car has had a few of the normal mods: 3" exhaust, VF30,ECUTECK,Pod, underdrive pulleys? etc etc. (Race Torque carried out the work approx 18 mths ago)Has also had liftkit, whiteline front strut base, Eibach springs fitted. Have already purchased 2nd set STI rims and Rspec tyres. Need help on choosing coilovers - don't want to spend over approx $2-2.5K fitted - teins? HSD? Buddyclub? Require it to be comfortable on street (current set up to stiff on road, anything over a 40KM drive leaves you with a sore neck! plus wife will also drive sometimes!!) Any suggestions?

Steve

Welcome aboard... You are in good hands. There are plenty of
folks here who know a thing or two about rexies.

First of all, welcome and good choice in car. Some here don't like the look of the bugeye's but at least it's not an Ugly Betty

HSD HR series seems fine to me. You can set them softer for the road and a few turns before hitting the track make them super hard I used to have an 02 STI. Such good fun with 276hp@wheels. You must be making a bit more than that so other than some swaybars front and rear and new coilovers I'd look at getting the best (highest DOT rating) brake fluid you can find combined with some good pads. Brembos will do the rest

PM BALISTIC (a bug eye owner himself ) as he can get the HSD's at a very good price and can also let you know which brand you should get, Buddy Clob or HSD Teins go super hard for the track work too from what I've heard but unsure of street driving as I've never had them.

P.S. It's No Limits
