I just bought a 99 Impreza RX yesterday, I also have an 85 Vortex (now for sale) I normally hang out on Ausubaru but now i got an impreza i figure i can get away with being here,

Looks great mate. I've got a MY99 RX but without the colour coded door handles, side skirts, and mirrors. Will be looking to make it look similar to yours and hopefully add a sti lip =) and rims but need the $$$ Great first car to have.

how do i tell if mine is a my99 or a my00??? i've been wondering since i got it!

Look at the build date, if it's built after august of 98 good bet it's MY99, and if it's built in 99.... I think it's an MY00.

Built date is on the passenger side of the car rivotted on car frame.

thanks for that, found the date is dec 98 which makes it a MY99

needs dumping, clip the springs, its free :P

i've had a quote from pedders (only place i've called so far) for $2150 for a set of sportsryder extreme coilovers, or about $700 for springs and shocks.

i don't want to clip springs, it has to be completely legal!

can anyone recommend any good suspension workshops with decent prices???

Looks like an MY00 to me... colour coded skirts-mirrors-handles, 6 spokers... maybe specs are different in the RX range.
