Hey mate, from someone who bought a RS as their first car do yourself a favour, buy something stock! The temptation may be there to save some cash on mods but if you buy a car thats been thrashed (read:modified) you'll be paying way more down the track, like I did,

yeahh i was thinking about gettin an rs liberty, but i realy dont like that shape of them
I will have to see how i go in finding a rex in my price bracket, if i fail...
might have to turn to something like a 180sx or r32 :S
