The standards have changed mate. We are now living in a world of biodegradable cars and throw away parts.

what are the flow properties and hp rating of the 13B (hitachi) turbo?

given that they make huge power on small capacity motors (1.3L) it would be interesting what it could make on a 2L.

But will it be rotor > boxer in terms of results?

Whats the A/R of the exhaust housing? That will give a good indication of response. The rotary engine pushes ALOT of air for its measly 1.3L rated 'capacity'.

Good luck.

As above, a 1.3 litre Rotary pushes as much air as a 3.9 litre piston engine. This is because in one "rotation" of each rotor, combustion occurs 3 times. This is the reason that big snails spool very easily on them.

Therefore, you'll probably find that its supremely laggy due to an A/R that is designed to suit this characteristic.

But, don't let us stop you.

DAK DAK = BRAPP BRAPP with the new turbo?

I for one think it's too much arseing around fabrication wise, but I do respect your intent to do something off centre. All the best with the build.

Less effort inventing the wheel.
More effort into spelling and punctuation.
K go.
