Default Help-need to put exhaust on my 99 forester gt

Hello Everyone, This is my first Subaru car i have owned, a 99 Forester GT, bought it standard no mods.

I have a growing family 3 kids under 6, so our usual ride we roll in a 2000 model tarago with 20inch venti's which i got put in from tech9. i'll post some pics later on

so this subaru was suppose to be my business car but my wife loves it so much we find we are driving it everyday all the baby seats are now in the suby.

but i feel something is missing, i have a boxer engine, but it's so quiet. i think i need to change my exhaust

my dilemma firstly to persuade and justify to the missus that we need this exhaust and secondly we do a lot of travelling down south and up north so i don't want my family to suffer with in cabin noise.

help me suggest what system to put in to give me that wicked note, but not too loud and drony and does anyone know anyone or anywhere i can put in a value for money system

help!!!!

X Farce Verex are noisy when open though and if you want quiet then having it closed will be bad for the engine. I have a forester GT and i love my MANTA system. Very nice and great note! Not droney at all!

Also jump onto www.ozfoz.com Alot of us forester guys from perth are over there.

also remember, what doesn't seem noisy in the front will often be horrible in the rear seat, especially in a wagon.

^ Sound advice on 2 counts. When you find one... install yourself, takes only an hour or two. On the 'note' side of things, sports oval muffler, and, (for your instance) leave the cat in, and perhaps 2 resonators, as opposed to one?

Brent.

kids love the boxer rumble, puts em to sleep! go with an oval muffler such as magnaflow and keep your cat
