Default Just doing my homework

Just here doing home work...looking at getting a 01-02 WRX im looking for a car that is lightly modded, ie. exhaust, bov and has low km and hasn't been hammered (maybe a light hammering is ok)! But first off i want to know everything about the engine and car itself before i buy one, so ill be able to get a good deal and know what the engine can handle etc. My names luke and i will be browsing around a bit, maybe post a thing or two sometime

Not "hammered"?

Well - don't buy one from anyone here

i seen some nice cars for cheap...like slug eye (probably been thrashed)..im prepared to pay 17 grand for the right car. I still have to pay of this other loan first, and im going on a holiday soon so i wont be able to get the car till march, so ive got some good amount of time to do the research! Im really liking the bugeyes, but the older models are attractive to, and i think '03 models and up are out of my price range...thanks for the welcome

Welcome aboard Luke, you'll find nearly everything you need at your fingertips on here (with the handy help of the search button), and to what you can't find, should there be such a thing, there are plenty of knowledgable folk 'round these here parts. Good luck with the searching and with a bit of knowledge behind you, you should be able to find the car you're after. I'm with Rexy, in regards to exhaust, and leave behind a BOV, and I wouldn't be quite so concerned about KM's. There are a number of well looked after high KM cars around. I can think of a few off hand
