My time with WRX's started when i was building a LX Torana hatch with injected 5L and a few other bits and pieces. While my daily runabout was a V8 statesman, my mate was selling his '94 WRX wagon for dirt cheap! the trade in was a no brainer. after driving the new rexy i soon realised that even when finished this 2 door torana wasn't going to come close to the WRX......so i sold it! then......then i caught the rexy sickness and fitted it with adjustable coil overs, strut and h brace, FMIC, unichip, sti yellowtop injectors, VF22, sti gearbox &diff. after all these mods and around $10k later, i accepted that '94 era aren't really worth doing up without a complete engine conversion.....and i grew sick of the police attention. then.....sold it to buy a 2006 WRX sedan completely stock. first week of ownership it gained an X-force turbo back exhaust and ECUTEK type 2......and already outperformed the old '94 wagon!!
