Default bug on the block

hi all im dan
had my 01 wrx for a few months
havent had any work on it due to getting my licence back and monies.
now thats all sorted im back on the road and working on my baby.
she needs some paint work due to a douche bag on new years.

im looking to get the bigger scoop to open it up , and a standalone computer or piggy back system (suggestions/ advice would be muchly appreciated - if any ones got either for sale id love to hear from you

looking forward to go on a cruise whenever the next is on =)

welcome aboard dan, give the search button a good workout first, flash tune of your stock ecu is a good place to start, contact forum vendor called Ultrex (Rob) is you want a bigger scoop. post some pictures of your bugeye too!

welcome welcome good to see another bug on the block, what colour is she? yes some pics and verso tune will be the way to go as per above. i have the bigger scoop and it make me smile all the time until i catch seagulls with it

best bet like above is to contact Rob if you want a bigger bird catcher, and verso tune is the way to go.

Welcome Dan.

If you want to go a stand alone ecu then go for it, plenty of good ones to choose from and Autronic ecu's are popping up at good prices lately ($1300-1800) then budget for a few hundred for the dyno tune ($200-500 depending on where you go), so under $2500 easily.

The best thing about a stand alone ecu is you can sell it for near what you bought it for and get money back in your pocket if you were to sell your car, where as a flash is money you'll never see again.

Totally up to you as budget is usually the limiting factor.

I bucked the Verso trend and went autronics and got a lot of shit for it but as I said to them its my car not theirs.
