Hi all. Finally got myself a nice WRX from someone who had it since new and has loved it well! Just looking forward to getting out their an enjoying time out on the road with my boys.
As I have never had a WRX before I was wondering if someone could give me a few good tips on suitable mechanics north of the river? I have to get a few sensors checked to be on the safe side.

Just wondering if there area events organised like cruises and the like?

Cheers

Steve

Default Hi Forde

Thanks for that. I have a 99 that has had one owner with very low kms. It is metalic red and looks very similar to the one on you photo. Unfortutely I dont have any pic of it yet but it looks pretty good with the 17 inch original style rims and being lowered. It has a lot more features than what i was after but I mainly got it because it was in such good nick. I is a bit noisey for me but it has one those reducers in the end which makes it much quiter. I am going to see if something can be done to take the edge off the noise as it goes so much better without the reducer.
Any thoughts on that problem?
Steve

Welcome Steve.

A list of Workshops around Perth can be found under the Technical/Mechanicals section of the forums or can be found here.

Hope you enjoy the car

Is the muffler is a canon?
Wonder how much noise an oval muffler would reduce?

Hi Steve,
Welcome to Pwrx..

As said previously, if the rear muffler is a cannon, a oval type muffler would be a good swap, as they keep the rumble but lose most of the drone.

Either that or revert to a stock/OEM exhaust
