Ask aircoolhead on the forum how "reputable" he thinks your above mentioned workshop is.

Quality subi workshops have seemed to disappear from Perth.

Absolutely reputable...been dealing with them for 12 years and never had an issue. ALL workshops will occasionally have some issues with the odd customer.
I suggest your aircooled mate contact MMS and have it out with Rob, Steve and/or Dean.

Personally, never had a problem with MMS - but a mate of mine sent his car to MMS to have the clutch done - got it back with the wheelnuts finger tight.

Tried to have it out with Rob, Steve & Dean on regular occasions, even sent them a letter by registered post (signed for by Dean).

No response.

Lovely.

Unfortunately, all workshops stuff up - but MMS unfortunatly attract the biggest proportion of fanboys on the forum. I suggest not performing pro-bono grassroots marketing for your favourite workshop on the forum, otherwise the mods might decide all your posts are commercial?

No marketing Geoff....just telling it the way it is and my experiences...only the truth, nothing more, nothing less.
No more or less "grass roots marketing" than countless other posts on this forum.
That's what these forums are all about aren't they (well that's what everyone keeps telling me)

With you all the way.........but you can't argue with internet mechanics because they just don't make mistakes and they know a hell of a lot more than some idiot who only works on the things 8 hrs a day.

I think you totally missed the point - but i'll adddress it anyway.

I dont think any "internet mechanics" claimed that they did a better job - but are you expecting us to draw the corollary that MMS just don't make stuffups?

All -i- said is stop doing marketing, no workshop is perfect, and absolutely no workshop employs the be-all and end-all of WRX authority. You need to shop around.

No everyone makes them, you, me, everyone - and what I am saying is yes every workshop will make fuckups but you only hear about the 10 or so that are made each year, not the couple of thousand good jobs that are done, lets face it.......... one mistake, everybody knows about it, no mistakes, who cares........then someone says it's a good workshop & they get bagged because Darryls brother Darryl has a second cousin who had a radiator cap left off, There is always two sides to a story, you don't here the workshops coming on here bagging the customer who hits 3rd instead of 5th at 180kph whilst having a drag then blames them for building a shitty motor cos it threw a leg out of bed.

That's because people who own workshops aren't silly enough to get involved in these debates.
