Default Howdy

Hey guys,

Name is Dylan.
I currently own a 2003 VY series II SS sedan, I treat her like a baby, although would love to step over into the turbo scene.

I would love to own a WRX but unfortunately at the moment the cash income won't allow for it. Keen to use my SS as a bargaining chip though.

Other than that, I enjoy reading up on the forums here now and then and checking out some of the member's cars.

Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself.

Cheers.

Welcome mate. My house mate has series II monaro. I can promise once you make the swap you won't be disappointed unless of course you like driving double footed.... (one foot on brake one foot on accelerator)

Yeah, I just love that instantaneous power that the big 8 gives, the roar is a nice accompaniment, sorta wanting to do a bit more to her, but what's the point if I'm set on a subie? Although I drive to Perth everyday for work (office is located there) What would the fuel consumption be like compared to an 8? I can get her down to roughly 13 or so L/100km but it averages at 14.4L/100km but it still hits me hard fuel wise.

If anyone can give us some feedback on that it would be appreciated.

Most likely pick up a cheap daily if I'm going to join the WRX club.

Where are you driving in from? You should avg around 11-12 litres per 100, depending on what car you choose, what mods and if it's tuned or not.

My rex is slow by wrx standards he has extractors and exhaust system yet dosnt pass until after about 140.

I drive northam to Murdoch twice a week and get about 10.9 L/100.
And that's with frequent downshifts to 3rd for overtaking purposes ie i don't baby it
