Hiya, Ceramic pro is like an extra layer of clear coating on top of the factory clear coat

Do you like the Ceramic Pro coating? yes best thing I have done

Is there any streaks or blemishes, even little ones? well you know how our water here is in Perth you don't dry it marks, but it comes of much easier than if it was on the without ceramic pro. Before application the car is washed and detailed before ceramic pro can be applied. and crap that is on the car will being applied you will see. as its between the factory coat and ceramic pro. I have also heard of uneven application as well from other members using other detailers.

Can or do you apply a wax over the top? one of the main reasons I got it so I don't have to wax my car. its good for 3 years compared to the Swissvax Carnauba application last 6 months max. The requirement of washing is car washing liquid either ceramic pro own or you can use meguiars SOFT WASH GEL, and dry with a microfiber towel. No need to apply wax

check it out I also got interior protection on leather and Dash.

as you can see the water just beads, Ceramic pro was applied to headlights as well. I did not request it.

Anyway enough talk about ceramic Pro. I want to achieve the boxer rumble again

Same thing as Jetseal really - Ceramic Sealants are the win.

Congrats on the new purchase! Awesome cars for what they are, have worked on several now and really impressed with the build quality.

I'd suggest you still continue to wax your car. The ceramic will continue to break down over time (18-24 months, doubt you'll still see benefits in 36 months with Perth's water). The wax will ADD to the gloss/protective layer and prolong the ceramic coating from breaking down.

Please don't compare it to Swissvax, substantially a different product (and FYI the Swissvax Crystal Rock will easily last 12 months).

This is how much these ceramic coating actually cost......

Clay bar, compound and polish before apply ceramic coating. Once applied properly, i don't think there are drawbacks.
Always use gentle shampoo(ie autoglym). Apply wax can extend its life.
As you've just outlined.. the product itself isn't what makes 'paint protection' expensive. There should be more time spent prepping the car correctly than actually applying the product (unfortunately generic dealerships have exploited this, giving the 'paint protection' packages a bad rep for being a 'waste of money').

Nice looking car!

I just had a test ride (passenger) at ASG, if i were 10 years younger (with some coin) i know know exactly what would be sitting in my garage right now.

Some good gains to be had from a re-tune in its stock form.

Pete.

How much increase would you suggest Pete?

Personally on an NA I'd be surprised if it more than 10%.
