Default Subaru Liberty gt spec b wagon 2007

Hello all first post, i have owned a Subaru Liberty gt spec b wagon 2007 for a few months now, iv noticed its using a little bit of oil with the risk of maby a ring failure.

In the worst case scenario they need replacing i will upgrade to a forged piston, does anyone know what an estimate for Perth price would be for all labour, parts ect?

cheers

How many km on it? It is not uncommon for 2.5's to consume a small amount of oil. The oil level and grade is critical. They have a relatively large bore size (same as a 5.7 litre V8) and a small triangular shaped sump. Checking the oil level on a flat level surface at operating temperature with the ring on the dipstick toward the front of the car is also recommended.

Hi klipschx, I'm interested in the answer to your question regarding pistons too. Apparently they are very fragile on our model. Did you end up calling STechnic? Also what is your exhaust and is it noisy? I want to get mine done but a little concerned about noise (yeah I know but I'm old).

My opinion is they are not very fragile, but certainly more fragile than a stock EJ207 piston and slightly more fragile than a EJ205 piston.
With good tune that are ok.

Rada, its a full 3 inch turbo back from maximum Motorsport and i cannot complain.
When on the free way in 6th gear you cannot even hear the exhaust which it exactly what i wanted.

As for when im accelerating hard through gears it is sumwhat loud however nothing compared to the 3 inch on my brothers wrx. Its very civilised, it has stock rear mufflers aswell.

Also i have not called stechnic as im booked in for a dropdown test on Tuesday with Maximum Motorsport, just wondering what people have paid before.

Cheers

klipschx (aren't they a brand of speakers??), thanks for that info. I hope to get the TBE and tune towards the end of the year. Was considering a TMIC too. I am very interested to know how it all works out for you.

It's Klipsch (the brand of speakers - terribly overrated), if zorst came from MMS and close to $2k then it's a Butler zorst.
rada likes this.
