Hey everyone,

I just recently bought a 98 wrx. Had it serviced at s-technic on Wednesday and found out my boost was hosed up wrong, this being my first turbo car I hadn't noticed anything. They corrected it all up for me but warned me of something called turbo lock where the engine may just shut it self off randomly. Well after a short trip to dunsborough and back I figured it was all good. But tonight after gassing some guy in a clubsport up roe hwy, I pulled up to the lights and while clutching the engine cut off. Any ideas if that could be what the team at a-technic warned me of? If not any other ideas?

Don't know, possible danger to the manifold. You probably should overnight some parts from Japan.

I was only holding my gears till 5k so I doubt I o'connored it aha. I came of the throttle and started to break with the it neutral when the revs pulsed up to about 1.5k and then back down to next to nothing then back up and then down till the engine stalled

Odds on you keep "gassing" people, the least of your worries will be engine problems. More likely car will be impounded under the hoon laws. Time and a place for everything.
