Default Introduction: modified WRX

Hey, names Nick, i recently purchased a pretty well modified WRX 2001 bugeye, its got about 230,000 kms on the clock. My question is, is it worth modifying further or purchasing a stock one.

Here is the list of mods:
STi turbo - VF35
• STi injectors
• APS Cold air intake with K&N pod
• Walbro 500hp 255LPH fuel pump
• Turbo back exhaust system with Cannon muffler

• Short shifter
• Heavy duty organic clutch
• Ksport adjustable coilovers
• Front sway bar, Rear Cusco strut brace
• Automatic intercooler water spray
• Light-weight crank shaft pulley
• Zero-Sports radiator support

• 18" x 8.5" Rota G-force powdercoated in bright orange
• STi hood scoop
• STi fog light covers
• C-West aftermarket adjustable spoiler
• C-West side body kit
• Ultrex prototype headlights
• Wide bodykit front quarter panels

• Clarion LCD/DVD head unit
• MB quartz front and rear speakers with tweeters
• Audison 500 RMS 4 channel
• JL 500 RMS monoblock
• JL 500 RMS 12”
• Hel braided brakes lines
• Slotted front rotors
• DGR wheel nuts

Any suggestions/advice is more than appreciated, thanks guys

Maybe get in a workshop check al bushings, gasket leak, compression test, spark plug, timing belt and replace all fluids if possible.

Imo, get rid off k&n filter, get a dry type and clean ur maf sensor. Get a sti tmic too.

If everything is fine, get a retine to suit car's current condition.

Why does it need furthur modding? (Apart from painting those terrible wheels).

You are a p plater with a car with prob near 180kw at the wheels. More than enough to kill you!

What do you plan to modify further?

Mod list does look good already, for the exception of a STI top mount intercooler as s20525xxx mentioned

Welcome mate! Seems like a nice pick up.

I don't understand your question though, it does not make any sense at all???

If you are talking in relation to the 230kms it has done and whether it is worth modding further or starting with a new block, then my advise is to wait until the current block gives way then start a rebuild. Otherwise why by a modded car in the first place only to pull it apart and rebuild a new block?

I don't understand the question either. Is this a future 'for sale thread'?

Main reason for mentioning that is because ive had people say it isnt worth adding anything to the car because of it being such high mileage, sorry for the confusion.

I was thinking of adding a few minor things, better brakes, boost controller etc.

If you try and put this for sale in the next month you'll need to shout us all beers.

Agree with the top mount suggestion, and not a fan of the rims or side skirts. Looks a bit odd without a front lip. Nice car for a P Plater though, try doing some basic motorsport events like RAC days etc.. learn to handle the jandle before you do "any more mods'.

Now those people don't make any sense.......

ROFL you are listening to the wrong people mate, mod away...........but remember the saying, you play, you pay!

Although I would recommend doing the responsible thing and attending some driver training days at AHG so your pride and joy doesn't become a coffin.
