Pretty Firm Believer to help avoid this type of shit that WA should introduce compulsory RWC (Road Worthy Certificates). It might also help with the Yellow's that seem to be going out in fashion.

Ps. Good luck OP hopefully nothing worth pulling hairs out over.

Got any photos of the car or the advert? Some people may know the car or have been to look at it and noticed a few things that could help you out...

The advert has been pulled out. I will take some photos of the car and the engine bay tomorrow and put it up..... I suppose once again, the heart takes over the mind...... I am so amazed that during the initial viewing and the test drive the car drives like a dream... then 2 days later... everything starts falling apart.... :(

Why didn't you get your boyfriend/husband to check out the car before you bought it??

Just take it to Stechnic for an inspection.. They wont charge much and will tell you exactly where the cars at and what needs to be done.. then you can weigh up the costs involved and if you are willing to invest in it.

if youre in the northern suburbs, take it to Jim at Blue Star...

But dont be too disheartened... it may be something really simple to fix..

[QUOTE=superpuoz;824142]Thanks for all the great advise guys. I have used a mechanic ive known for ages. Hes coming to have a look at it for me on Monday and will diagnose it. When i know what i am up against will then take it to one of the specialist mechanics mentioned above. Man, i am crossing my fingers.... sleepless nights ...

Just take it straight to one of the Subaru specialists mentioned as they have more experience with diagnosing problems.

Otherwise your mechanic mate might tell you it's got this problem and that problem making you stress even more and it might not even be those problems, assuming he doesn't deal with Subaru's everyday.

Cannot recommend these guys enough if you live south of the river, when I got my suby I thought my engine was not healthy did not realise that my motor has forged pistons and they sound like a bit of a tractor when cold. I also had the wrong pressure radiator cap on thinking I had a blown head gasket. And they won't charge you the earth for good honest diagnosis.

All the best Mark
