lurker intro
Hi Guys
Been lurking on here & a few other wrx forums for a while now to get informed. I recently got my 1st turbo vehicle, a 2011 wrx & currently looking to do the typical mods (DP, CBE, CAI, ECUTEK tune, front+rear sways, etc). So far the only thing I've done is put in a 10" sub + 2x class-D amps on the factory Nav - I know this is generally taboo, but a sub was a must. Can post pictures later if anyone is keen. Anyway one reason I've gone public is to see/listen/love some of y'all cars to get a solid idea of what I want to do. Cheers~

Welcome, mate. Dont bother the CAI, and get a boost control solinoid. Better improvement for less money

Sorry for the late response, just finished work. Here is a few pics of the system:
It was a bit pricey but a good mate of mine is know for his skill, and I wanted him to have my business so I was happy to pay. The whole parcel shelf and the boot would rattle when the bass was turned up, so the whole thing needed to be covered with dynamat to dampen the vibration (see photo 1). No one sits in the back seat so the amp plugs were made to face outward for future setting adjustment. I got my mate to pick the smallest box possible for the correct parameters, which is why it's tiny. The box itself it sits way back where the boot dips (1st image) and fits snugly right underneath the parcel shelf (2nd image; min tolerance <20 mm). @s20525xxx por que no los dos I figured a CAI was worth it if I needed to fork out the money for the tune for the full CBE+DP. Is there any other reason not to get one other than hp/$?

Nice install and choice of future mods.
Did your mate use a high level - low level input converter for your RCA's going into the amp? using the Perth-WRX mobile app

I just asked my mate, he says he did use a high to low line input converter since the high level input will give too much noise. He usually installs a high/low line converter for all his clients anyway since high inputs are very susceptible to alternator whine noise.
Hope this info helps!
