I dont think verso can do flex its more an open source thing ... best off calling nic or sean and asking directly
Maybe it's just and ECUTEK thing. I just checked and 2005+ Subarus can flex with ECUTEK.

You can flex tune the older Subaru models(pre 2005) but I wouldn't recommend it with their standard ecu's as a lot of them don't have individual cylinder trim, I have been told.

As for the OP's model just get a tuner to check your ecu first before committing more $$ to it. And Ecushit can definitely do flex tunes in the race-rom package

I re-read your first post, so yeah an IC upgrade would be needed to go further than where are now.

If it is a daily I reckon do the IC/retune when you are ready and leave it at that. You should easily see 300+ at the wheels with great response. Will be piss fun to drive too.

Cheers.

VERSO doen't support flex. If you want flex you have to go with an ECUTEK tuner.

Personally I would upgrade the turbo before going flex. You *might* see 300hp if you put the vf52 on e85, whereas you'll definitely get 310-325 on BP98 with a Blouch td05-20g or a Blouch Dominator 1.5. It'll be cheaper too. A flex conversion will cost you around $3,700

A new Turbo will be $1,800 (GT Pumps) - $2,200 (Blouch) + installation + retune. A little bit cheaper, and still leaves you with options to power up later on by way of flex or straight e85. A major influence in the above decision is also how close you are to an e85 oulet.

Have a look at the first post in my driveway thread for other potential mods to your car (I have an '08 and currently having a new engine being built).
I might just get a K&N filter for my factory air box.

Just be aware that the oil from the K&N filters have been know to cause problems with the MAF sensor. If you are going to change the filter maybe opt for a dry one.

Oh ok, ive seen a few people with AEM filters in theirs, might have a look at them instead. Might be a stupid question but it wont need a retune with a different type of filter in the same airbox will it?

Speak with Sean before replacing anything to do with air or exhaust gas flow through the engine. Tuned Betty's are well known for throwing hissy fits with only minor changes.

Bit of an update, Back in may (i think) i put on the process west verticooler but couldnt get it tuned because all star no longer do verso tunes :'( so i am researching/saving up for a proper ecu that can, down the track, run a flex tune as well as a new turbo. had a chat with the blokes at race torque in wangara and they seem to know whats up.

So anyones experiences with ecutek or any others will be greatly appreciated.

Also today i got new tyres put on for a bargain price, well at least i think :)

I got 235/45/17 Kumho KU39's fitted and balanced for 155 each and the shop had a buy 4 pay for 3 deal going so the tyres were $465 plus alignment etc, so pretty stoked with that

Will post more pics when the weather dosent suck ass
