Default Stability Bar and suspension

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone's ever have any experience on this stability 3 point bar? I see a lot on eBay... they sit behind or inside each fender with 2 points bolts on to door socket and the third point requires to drill holes.

I've got a GC8 WRX and I'm slowly building the handling side before I drop the 6 speed tranny and engine build etc etc.

What I've got so far is:
1. Cusco Front Sway Bar 22mm
2. White Line H Brace
3. Perrin 25mm Rear Sway Bar
4. Ultex front and rear strut brace
5. White Line Correction kit (tie rod and Ball Joint)

What I am curious to know is:

1. Will I get any gain or benefit with that 3 point stabiliser Bar on the fenders?

2. Maybe I'm expecting too much but I thought after having all of the above on the car, I would minimise body roll on corners and roundabout... although it's better than before but I still feel the body roll?

3. Suspension...any suggestion on what brand would be good for street use? A lot of people seem to favour MCA.... budget around $2k.... also would the body roll I'm still feeling be due to the fact that I've still got the standard strut and spring in the car ATM?

Thanks guys, hope to hear your thoughts and expert opinions on this.

Your car already has a two point factory brace. Well it should have if its a Wrx and not a clone. Have a look

I have never seen the need of changing it.

Are MCA the same coil overs that Mao sells ??? I question this as they look the same ?
MCA made in Taiwan ?

You will find the H brace does nothing apart from make a fuckn mess when you change engine oils

MCA coilovers are assembled in Australia. The parts are likely imported from Taiwan etc (in that price range what do you expect?) but the custom valving, attention to detail in assembly, and customer service is all great and local. Drop them a line Ben and they will be happy to have a yarn with you about what they recommend for your car. A good quality coilover will do a lot for body roll over old stock struts.

I wouldn't bother spending more money on body braces or the like until you change out struts, if they do anything at all they'll be a 1% kind of mod.

Thanks guys...

Any thoughts on the Cusco Street Zero coilovers in comparison to the MCA? They're about the same price and looking at them also as a comparison

I'm pretty sure MCAs are a well matched set just like how rods should be put into ejs

I have been in a friend's gc8 with them and they are also a nice and compliant ride on the road and do well on the track for him too. Far better than the HSD and BC coilovers I have tried previously. @rexxxed2.0 might be able to chime in a bit more for you there as he uses them. http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/members/rexxxed+2.0.html

Thanks guy for all the input looks like I'm pretty sold on the Cusco for now... at least we know it's Japan and definitely not Taiwan LOL

A friend of mine recommended Bilstein but they're like $4k

I put a set of the Summit Racing fender braces into my SG forester, and it made a substantial difference to the front end rigidity. But SG forester (non-sti) never had factory versions of the braces fitted.

Ohhh and also wondering where would be a good place to get the coilovers fitted? because I understand it's quite important on the settings of the coilovers much like tuning the car.

I've heard a lot of good things about Wilkinson Suspension?

Thanks guys.
