NO bubbles in coolant.
NO milky residue under oil cap or elsewhere.
Tested for carbon and only very very very slight detection.
No misfire when tested.
The IC was ever so slightly warmer to the touch bottom left corner than the top left corner.
Could it be IC after-all?

It is possible that oil has pooled in the intercooler which is not uncommon for cars without a catch can. But my advice is to get it checked out by a specialist workshop as previously mentioned.
Soksta and Grateful69 like this.

Thanks to all whom have provided advice.
As you can all suspect, I'm new to trouble shooting probs' with cars.
Your advice has lead me to research etc, the answers are coming, and things are making sense. And given I really enjoy my Subi, I feel I'm heading in the right direction in keeping it the way it needs to be.
All in all, mostly an informative place.

I've also stumbled across some posts where the shit is thrown out of the cot, and the replies insulting....very entertaining!
Stechnic seems like good specialist??
