Thought I might finally introduce myself and write up a thread. Back in 2014 I bought a MY00 GC8 after my two friends bought an Evo VII and an S15 with intentions of tracking the car predominately at the RAC track. How things have changed since then.
With limited research (I tend to learn as I go), I ended up purchasing a modified car with the following modifications;

Seems like a good purchase, forged rod and pistons, a couple of years of service history from STechnic, front mount intercooler (ideal for track days), the STi 6 speed gearbox. The only issue was the amount of lag from the turbo wouldn't be ideal for RAC, but it did pull hard.
