Cheers for the welcome guys.

ImPreSiV: Not looking at anything older than 05. Probably end up going for an 06 or 07 when i get around to it though, cos its still a few months off. Depends how much i can save and how the insurance is going to hit me. I like the current shape better than any other, so i think thats a goer.

If your under 30 dont even bother with SGIO. RAC is the best option, after HBF said I needed to take the car over the pits because of my mods, I rang RAC and they said no problem as long as I had a clean driving record (thankgod for the 5 year rule).

Insurance was the reason i didnt buy an MY04 Club Spec Evo 7 in the first. Had that one down at City Subaru. Couldnt afford the insurance, so settled on the 2.0R for the time being. At that time i checked out a few companies. SGIO were asking $3000 a year. Not real flash at all. Was mildly cheaper to put it on the old mans policy (im still under 25, so it makes sense), but still a lot more than i could afford at the time. May as well start doing a bit of research again now i suppose. RAC you reckon?

welcome dude. go the upgrade! n/a is for girls unless its 5 litres+.

Just Car car insurance FTW! RAC will not insure 'some' people. SGIO could die in a fire for all i care.

SGIO sucks

RAC is pretty good if you have good driving record and even better if you have insurance history with them, otherwise Just Cars is your best bet
