In fact join now to Nov and you pay $30 which takes you up to the end of the year. All renewals ($60) go out in January. Join after Nov for $60 which covers Dec and all of the following calendar year.
Buy a new Impreza WRX or STI and you get 12 month's complimentary Club membership...check with the dealerships.

The advantage of the WASCC membership is you can lob out and watch any of the car racing days and entry is free. I tend not to go out for a whole day but will pop out and watch for a race or two. If thats what your likely to do then paying to get in for only an hour starts to look expensive but if you just show your card and walk through you don't really care.

I am a member of IWRXOC and find it suits my needs very well. However dont you also get free tickets to the V8 supercars if you are a member of WASCC? If you are going to go to the V8's anyways then it makes more $$ sense.

Thanks for the correction Nauli.

I believe entry to all race events if free with WASCC membership and you also get use of the club house on race days which would be nice when you get sick of mixing with the commoners :P
I dont go to spectate very often as I live in Rockingham so its a fair drive but I think I would be more likely to if its free to get in and I can take off early without feeling like I am wasting money.

I think the tuning days are only $40 and the sprints / hillclimbs have a reduced fee for WASCC members.

I think I might just join the IWRXOC for now as its only $30 so if I decide the club does not fulfill my needs in 6 months then I have not lost much.

You get one Tuning day pass with your membership to WASCC so don't forget to consider that in you calculations.

I think WASCC is worth it if you take advantage of the free tuning day and were going to go to the V8s for Sat and Sun. If u tally V8 entry and pit passes (pitstop bookshop) prices then WASCC membership ain't so bad.

Not sure on social side tho.
