Hard parking.
Describing cars that have all the "race"/track mods known to man and beast only to be parked up or never raced.

I do recall Doug "parking" into the curb... impressive effort to say the least.
My confusion comes from GTB's use of the term "hard parking" or "PARKING hard" as he put it.
Doug's effort being the complete opposite of the definition in the above post.

That is all.

Oh, and Fatboy, less talk more car building. K go.

OK guys - to confirm: I'm sure we are all well aware that Dougie could NEVER be described as a "hard parker". SO yes - I made a play on it to describe his "parking effort" at a previous meet. So "hard parking" became "parking hard".

Dougie put the car truly sideways (on purpose) on the hair pin and, unfortunately, got some curb and "parked hard".

Be assured Matty, as I joked with Dougie online afterwards, it was a truly great effort at parking his car as HARD as possible. If memory serves he gave himself the signature of EVOvWRX "parking" champion for a while. We all know Dougie is one of the dedicated drivers on P-WRX and would never ever be a "hard parker" like some. Anyone who says otherwise is simply an idiot.

Sorry my play on words led to some potential hostilities.

Back on topic... If there is one!

Went down for a quick look after work, looks like everyone was held up in the traffic jam due to the fires.

Hope everyone has a good night!

All good.

Haha, I can take it. I brought it on myself with the sig (which in itself is a pisstake of Franz' sig) The 'hard parked' reference was due to the degree of difficulty there is in accidentally jamming a WRX over a kerb 180 degrees into a ticket box gate and stopping mm away from a concrete wall. All this only a day after bragging to Tino that I never hit anything etc.

I always rip a handbrake if it's even slightly required, definately if there's a camera there. It caught me out tonight though on the narrow bit with the dirt on the outside, got one back wheel in the sand and filled the rim with gravel and shit. The unbalance shook the car so violently on the straight that I thought the tyre had gone flat. I cleaned the rim out at the end of the stage and it was fine after that.

I had to bolt straight after the last run but I assume Franz won again?

Same misunderstanding with my sig with a few of the boys as it was a small know joke, hence the multiple sig piss takes lately but it's all good.

Once I get my CAMS I'd love to be able to have a lap with you Dougie if it is at all possible.

Congrats Franz!

http://www.clubracer.net.au/wp-conte...Rd3Results.pdf

Great night! Was way off the pace to finish mid field with a 2:43 but managed to take 5 secs off my first run but was battling getting gears which got worse as the night went on and a wife that has sworn never to be co-driver again haha.

Bit dodgy timing though, one guy I know well tells me his fastest time of the night was a 2:44 but manages a 2:28 on his first run then a 2:55, 2:46 and then a 2:44...
