Jezza 12-03-2016 10:54 AM

Also AM. No holidays planned, so I'm hoping to make every round this year

Hurtenstein 12-03-2016 12:21 PM

Fuck.
Finally got car running, didn't know about this.
Can you buy a day pass CAMS license there? mines expired.

phoenix 12-03-2016 12:39 PM

If you have an expired CAMS licence cant you just go on line and renew it??

Bram 12-03-2016 12:43 PM
If you have an expired CAMS licence cant you just go on line and renew it??
Yeah. But it wont be posted out by tomorrow.

nick73 12-03-2016 12:50 PM

https://www.cams.com.au/get-involved/competitors/licence-types

^^Try that, see how you go. The first link in the list is the renewal but it's unclear whether you are good to go straight away. Some shit about having to pay an extra $75 if you want the licence within 5 days etc.. Maybe I am reading it wrong. Try calling Jurgen or Ben at Mc's maybe?

I'm pretty sure you can purchase a day licence at the venue.

Hurtenstein 12-03-2016 12:53 PM

Ive tried ringing the 1300 number on the MC site, but no answer.
It is saturday after all.

Bram 12-03-2016 12:54 PM

Maybe just show up on the day ready. Get there early and see if its possible to squeeze in. If not, just spectate.

Hurtenstein 12-03-2016 12:58 PM

That had passed through my mind.
I doubt it but. Appears to be pretty well organised.

Bram 12-03-2016 01:02 PM

I dont mean squeeze in as in dodgy un-insured ways. I mean squeeze in as in it may be possible to organise some sort of official day pass or retrospective license after etc?

Hurtenstein 12-03-2016 01:04 PM

Haha yeah, i didn't mean dodgy.

WREX 12-03-2016 02:06 PM

Check the MC Motorsport page they said morning was full but there was spot's still available in the arvo.
They used to do ASSA licence's on the day not sure if they still do.
Also there is entry list on there

Jezza 12-03-2016 05:14 PM

If you have renewed your CAMS online, it can actually be checked for validity via CAMS portal. Just email MC Motorsport or Jurgen and they should be able to clarify.

phoenix 13-03-2016 10:47 AM

^^^
That was my point when I said renew online. I guess I should have made it clearer.

Jezza 31-03-2016 05:49 PM

Who's in this Sunday? I just paid for a spot, only PM spots left! Getting very popular these days..

nick73 31-03-2016 08:03 PM

Yar. AM as usual.

Bram 31-03-2016 08:31 PM

AM for me too.

nick73 31-03-2016 09:05 PM
AM for me too.
Big wheels or little wheels?

Bram 31-03-2016 09:19 PM
Big wheels or little wheels?
Little wheels. Got to wait for the money tree to grow a few more leaves then ill get em. But i have made a few big changes to the setup since last time. Had a few parts in stockpile for awhile that i put in over easter. 25mm front bar. 9kg front springs. 7kg rear springs. 800hp driveshafts. And will also get some new brake fluid in aswell.

Ill probably run the little wheels next round just because its the one ive been waiting for to use the hydro setup. That will probs be the last time i use em as they will be getting pretty tired and maybe 4 runs of doing helis on the first corner will finish em haha.

nick73 04-04-2016 05:39 PM

Anyone got a link for the Mc sprint series results from yesterday?

Bram 04-04-2016 06:30 PM

I dont want to see em haha.

nick73 04-04-2016 07:00 PM

You were almost as quick as me with your pirouette, mowing the grass and two wheels off the ground bro.

Bram 04-04-2016 07:19 PM
You were almost as quick as me with your pirouette, mowing the grass and two wheels off the ground bro.
Yeah. That was wild. Haha.

But i also had 2 unfinished runs because of mechanical fail- so slowest time allocation. And my last run was a still born. Again slowest time there.

My 3rd run shaping up to be a good one. It was smooth and it felt fast. Then the IC pipe blew out on the last 1/2 lap. I dont know if you could hear the swearing over the other car engines etc. But i was yelling pretty damn loud at that point.

Jezza 04-04-2016 08:24 PM

I only had one posted run. Came off on 2 of my runs due to braking issues, so didn't even go out for a 4th run.

I think it was brake fade. The budget rotors I put on can't dissipate the heat quick enough on a hot day. Every now and then in my final lap I would jump on the brakes and the pedal would go straight to the floor, pretty scary!

Bram 04-04-2016 09:24 PM

That might be fluid issue? What are you using

Jezza 04-04-2016 09:55 PM
That might be fluid issue? What are you using
Always used this fluid though...

I flushed last event too.
Only things that have changed in my setup are the rotors, put on in November, and the forza pads that went on around same time.

Sneakynuts 05-04-2016 08:03 AM

I was in Sydney at a wedding....sad I missed it to be honest

Master D 05-04-2016 08:37 AM

Brake knockoff jet?
