Fast Noobcake Question
Hey,
is a 'dump pipe' the collective term for the down pipe and mid pipe? If so, a catless dump pipe would remove one of the cats right? Would this make the car any louder or increase much more flow than 2 cats? |

I believe the dump pipe to the vertical bit of pipe which directly connects to the back of the Turbo, and comes down to connect to the first segment of the mid pipe.
Don't think it would make it any louder by having no cat in the dump .. maybe slightly. The muffler/resonator does most of the silencing. It's not just about having a catless dump, it's about having one with good design, that being it 3" has better flow from the turbulent air coming out of the turbo, particularly when the wastegate opens. Do a search, lots of info about exhausts on here.
