first you must findout if its the window motor or button so try taking out the button and shorting the two wires then your window will ither do nothing or go down/up, also test the button with a multimeter or just get a new one from japaneese auto wholesalers in wangara, it will probably be like $2 if not free. if its the motor they are roughly $50 i think for a new one. as you said it works but you have to play with it then its probably the button so for the price i would just change the button and see if that works, if it dosent the start testing things.

Also try cleaning the connection for the button, if it is dirty it might not work all the time!

ill give the connection a squirt with the cleanin stuff i got in a spray can contact cleaner i think its called.

i had the same issue in my gtr, take button out and apart, spray the cleaner on it but also get some sandpaper and clean the metal connections. They seemed to get a bit of a corrosion layer so it wasnt metal on metal

ive got a jdm set from an early model, although when i tried to put them in my old 94 there was an issue and they didnt behave as expected. All the windows went up, and it kept trying to put them up. So be careful if ur buying from japs. Import ones may not work.
