Default Valve adjustment

Really I think it's the spring tension on the valves...anyways I know that if your engine starts ticking heaps you need to sort out your valves or the springs...

well anyways how do you know when it's time to do it? the engine ticks a little all the time? how often (in terms of kms travelled) should u do it? and is it a DIY or workshop thingy and how much $$$??

cheers

How many km has your motor done? Do you use anti-lag?

does it do it all the time or just every now and again? and does the ticking go away after a bit of driving?

Yeah mine does that (i think), maybe like, once or twice a month depending on weather conditions, goes away once the engine has warmed up. Is it meant to do that? or is something like wrong?

like for example. i can be driving from cold for about 30 mins, ill park, it'll tick/click a little, turbo timer went off after 30seconds, i still run it regardless of me granny driving it initially in the mornings - if i say go off to an ATM, get money out, come back, start car, no ticking...

although my car says 246,000kms, the engine is nearing 100,000kms - second engine you see.
