Default rear diff 06 WRX

anyone have problems with the rear diffs on the 06 ? mine makes a slight whine on 5th letting the gas off about 90-100km/hr.

i used to get that with my old hsv every since i hit a kerb but where talking scoobies !

Its normal, mine does the same, even changing the diff oil makes no difference.

yeah its common. checked with my mechanic and the dealer said so himself.

common as in requires replacement.

would this still be fixed under warranty if you have mild mods ? tmic, tbe, verso.

My rear diff was replaced under warranty 3 TIMES, to rectify this same problem. The 3rd time, they replaced the whole rear diff and cradle, and it seems to have worked.

Dealers told me My new Holden Frotera was normal to whine loudly at 6mths

After I whined a lot they spent 6K fixing the problem
