GC8 odometres - wind back?
 

Hi guys,

looking at maybe buying a GC8, have heard from a couple of people that there is a plug on the gearbox that is easily pulled to stop the Ks from registering on the odo.

is this true? are these people full of shit?

I have an STI dash for a CG8 with 28,000 on the clock... Easy to put in to
a car with 200,000. Sell it and get done for fraud.

Yep its true !! you can unplug it... but try and drive the car for more than a
km and the check engine light will come on and the ECU will go into safe
mode i.e. NO BOOST :sad6: Subaru thought of most things...

And it would take approximately how long to loop it? About two minutes if you have a hoist?

Is that up for grabs coz im interested due to my dash not working since i tryed to sand down the green shit to make it it red..?????

Looping can also be done !! but unless that loop pulses the ECU will not get any signal and it will be woundering what the hell your doing 5000rpm
and 0km/h ?? ;)

cant you just unplug the 3 white switches from behind the dash! you wouldnt have any lights or gauges but still its saving it from racking up,! Its pointless anyway unless you want to fraud the system! fuck that, sell your car with its proper kms! Some of my needles dont work too! does anyone know where i can get em fixed???
