A tune would be a good idea as it already has a tune which is NOT correct for the air flow coming in after your K&N was fitted.

putting in that pod will probably result in little change to the power output even after a tune. I would wait until you have a TBE installed and then put the filter into the front guard so it can get cold air. THEN get a tune. That way the money spent on a tune will actually result in a tangible increase in power.

too be on safe side i would take it off but also if you have knocklink or lambda link just keep an eye on em, std ecu will retard itself and adjust slightly anyway so i woudlnt worry too much.
hope this helps?? gerry

Sorry scoobygez but a knock link won't help one little bit if it leans out. Exhaust gas colour would be one symptom just before it holes a piston....Fitting a cheap lambda meter is another warm and fuzzy...unless its a high quality (read bloody expensive) regularly calibrated device then whats it really reading?

Just go to a workshop that has a Dyno Dynamics Dyno and ask for a safety check on your air fuel ratios/boost etc. Before the Hub Dyno sycophants flame me for suggesting a DD Dyno read on...Putting a car on DDD is much quicker and for a simple safety run is a much cheaper option. Tune on Hub, quick test on DDD

Just saw the pic.... The pod is very close to the block and it is unshielded. With the pod sucking up all that hot air. I wouldn't be surprised if power went backwards.

Go back to the stock setup. And when you put it back in. Do it properly and stick the pod in the guard away from the engine bay.

Indeed - In-Bay Pod's are not good .. Sure, you're probably getting a little more flow, but it's hot air!

You'd be better off either:

a) Stock airbox, high flow filter, resonatorectomy.
b) Proper Cold Air Intake (In guard), with high-flow filter.

Just noticed someone went crazy with blue spray paint on your IC?
