Ok had my oil change done today, They used magnatec only cause they said if i want different oil i need to supply my own. So next time will take my own oil. Dont like the idea of magnatec but it shouldnt do toomuch bad. Anyway would like to knwo what is the service interval for an STI? is every 10,000ks ok?

not sure if any difference between sti and wrx but i do mine every 5000kms and thats only for more peace of mind than anything i was using motel. I had redline put in today.

i only average 10,000kms a year anyway.

Ahh k yeah i was thinking to do it every 5000 had a look in the manual just the and the interval is every 12,500. Heh confusing.

5000km is pretty standard for a performance car
most guys i know change their oil every 5000kms

I change mine every 4500km's. Works out nicely in between the internals that need service book stamping (12,500kms). She's never burnt any oil!

^^ What he said - While i'm not driving around on the redline all the time .. my car gets a squirt reasonably often, perhaps once while i'm driving.

True a WRX is made to be thrashed!!!! But i do mine every 5000kms, the oil is too black for my liking after 10000kms!
