If you wade through all the part numbers you will find the following things about the A and B revisions:

A and B revision STis(sedans and wagons) used essentially the same struts and springs in both years based on model. Example: A and B revisions of the wagon used the same parts. [The revision B PNs for front and rear struts are listed as alternatives for Rev A vehicles in the part books, theyre interchangeable. These number differences can help identify which year your takeoffs are from tho.]

The STi RA(a) and RA spec C(b) race-prepped models use the same struts as the standard STi sedans but use unique springs front and rear for each year.

JDM MY 03

GDB(c) STi
Right Front strut - 20310FE300
Left Front strut - 20310FE310
Right Rear strut - 20360FE840
Left Rear strut - 20360FE850
Front spring - unknown [3rd coil down, 2 purple dots]
Rear spring - unknown [3rd coil down, 2 green dots][tapered, gray insulators at the bottom]

GDB(c) STi spec C
Right Front strut - 20310FE300
Left Front strut - 20310FE310
Right Rear strut - 20360FE840
Left Rear strut - 20360FE850
Front spring - unknown
Rear spring - unknown

The C revision appears to carry through the same front struts as used on A and B revision. However the rear struts, springs and topmounts are quite a bit different from the previous models. The paint codes for the C revision models seem to be of a different format as well and probably shouldnt be compared to revisions A and B.

JDM MY 04 - tentative

GDB(d) STi
Right Front strut - 20311FE300
Left Front strut - 20311FE310
Right Rear strut - 20360FE840
Left Rear strut - 20360FE850
Front spring - unknown [2nd coil down, 2 purple dots]
Rear spring - unknown [3rd coil down, 2 green dots][tapered, gray insulators at the bottom]

GDB(d) STi spec C
Right Front strut - 20311FE300
Left Front strut - 20311FE310
Right Rear strut - 20360FE840
Left Rear strut - 20360FE850
Front spring - unknown
Rear spring - unknown

Rather than start a new thread, here i go.. I have a Q. regarding Wagon vs. Sedan Rear struts

Are GD sedan struts slightly longer/taller than GD wagon struts? Does anyone have measurements on the height of the dampners?

reason asking is that I have fit sedan struts to my wagon and the rear looks to be sitting a bit higher than the front - is my solution to find a pair of STi rear WAGON dampners? cheers

Do you know of the earlier models numbers?

I have a set of front STI shocks, they are Bright Pink with the following numbers:

FR ST2031044100 with KH22 above that!
LF ST2031044090 with KF04 above that!

Any help would be appreciated.

Whats involved with a conversion on a GC8? - Can you use later model struts? What specifically would you need in part#? This looks like fun
