Default short shift

hey i wanna get a short shifter in ma car, have you'se got any suggestions with what brand or what i should get? i got a 03 MY04 wrx with a cold intake and an upgraded top mount (that shouldnt really make a difference) andim thinking about upgrading to a VF34 or 35 soon

BALISTC knows their stuff

They can work well if you get the correct type. Cheap ones will perform like a cheap one i.e. sloppy.

Genuine STi is the way to go, or GFB or Kartboy for slightly less.

i have gfb and dislike, rubs on left side of casing on nut and whilst driving rattles.

The STi ones are rubbish, I noticed SFA difference when I installed mine, which was about a 3 hour job as it replaces the whole shift mechanism rather than just one or two linkages like most over kits.

I had one in my old rex until the lever snapped so i took the original into MMS to put back in. They redrilled it somehow to provide a shorter throw similar to the one that had broke.

Maybe an option for you??

I dont really like short-shifts... they can get really cruncy after a while. everyone has a different opinion though.
