reset ecu? after cai install
hi all, i'm pretty damn sure this question has been asked before but here goes.
i just installed a K&N CAI. and was reading through various forums were some ppl have said that an ecu reset was need after intalling one, is this the case? and if so how do i go about doing it ? i did try to search it but the words "installing" and "cai" are rather popular... thanks. Greg. |
just sayin from expereince, i ddint need to after i did my own cai
|
Shouldnt reall need to mate, what mods have you already got?
|
you wont need a reset, but moreso a tune.
a CAI affects the scaling of the air flow meter. although if you utilise a MAP/BAP vs air temp ECU, then a CAI wont affect your scaling, but will affect the loading. |
she's completely stock apart from the cai i just put in
that's good then, ta for that fella's :) |
As i said, should be right for a while but if you do anything else to it, make sure you get it tuned
|
So the mods have started already, Hey Greg !!
|
haha sure have Paul, started without ya :D
just took it for a drive and it's noisey as hell... sounds like i have a BOV.. i'm guessing that's normal? and yeh i did check it for intake leaks. |
