18" on a GC8
Might be getting a set of 18's for my GC8, but b4 i do i just want to know if they will fit....
Holes/P.C.D. - 5Holes/100P.C.D. Wheel(front n rear) - 18×8.0JJ+45 Thats the wheel size/offset with prolly 225/40 tyres. The dude i spoke to said it will fit...he owns a tyre/rims shop in HK for a long long years, but just want 2 get a second opinion. According to the Work Emotion catalog, GC8's cant fit 18".

i dunno much about wheels, but i dun think it'll fit.
18x8 PROBABLY fit if you're using 225/35 and correct offset, but with 225/40 and +45, i dun think the 18x8 will fit without any modification such as rolling guards. however i think you can still fit 18's on a gc8 if they're 18x7.5 with 225/35 tyres and offset of +48. |

all depends on a number of factors, how low is your car, ect, just get them checked by someone in the know and they will be able to tell you 100%

Brett (EVL WRX) has Emotions on his GC8. 18x7.5, +48 from memory. Ask him if hes had any rubbing issues.

18x8" won't fit from memory, but theres a number of factors to consider... Is the car lowered, whats the rim offset, what suspension spring diameters, camber, and what tyre width. You could probably fit them but I'd guess at the minimum you'd want to be near stock height, running at least -2 deg camber, have your guards rolled and run 215 width tryres. 18x7.5" is probably achievable but you'll probably find the only rims with the correct offset are high end (read Prodrive/Oz racing or Volk)... but if you want a definative answer you really need to talk to someone like John at Wheels World... there's a reason we all pay him alota cash
Oh yeah please don't believe anything you hear at Bobney Jane Queer Mart and the like... they more than likely don't know shit. |

From one of my previous posts
"I have Prodrive WRC P1's 18x7.5 +46 offset with 225/40R18 Falken RT615 tyres on my 99 GC8. DMS 40mm Coilovers with 3.5-4 degrees camber on the front. A bit less on the rear. Rear Guards definately had to be rolled. Width of the tyre was the cause of this. A 215 width tyre and you would have no inner rear guard interferance problems. A +35 offset even in 18 x 8 and I think you are definately going to have problems with the correct 225 width tyre. As stated above +48 to +55 on a 225 18 x 8. +55 definately ok. +48 maybe. The next problem is finding decent good value tyres in the correct load rating (89 or higher) for the 18's in a 225 width. To have the correct rolling diameter you need 225/35 R18 which are scarce as well. Falken RT615's were the only high performance reasonably priced tyre in the correct load rating I could find without going to expensive Pirelli's. And even then the rolling diameter is not correct. Just re-reading your post:
18x8 +45 offset. You are going to have inner rear strut/spring interferance issues as well as the inner rear guard problems on standard GC Struts. Lower the car and there will be all sorts of problems. With 18x7.5 +46 the rim was about a matchstick head worth of width away from rubbing the rear strut. Rear guards had to be rolled as well. J |
