Could be the crank or cam angle sensor, will often go and the first you'll notice it is when you go to start it. A quick 5 minute changeout with a new one and you're back in business. Only thing is you'll need a workshop to diagnose which one has failed with their computer. Have you got a check engine light? Someone here may know the codes so you can read it from the flashes.

Check your ECU codes to find out where the problem is. You can do it by connecting the check connectors under the dash and interpreting the code flashing on the dash. OR you can just go to a mechanic and get them to read the codes directly off the ECU.

As for interpreting the codes.... Do a search.

Isn't the Check Engine Light on permanently anyway before you actually start the car? I know mine is, and as soon as it fires up, it disappears.

Awesome good to hear - Dead pump? Least it didn't 'half-die' while driving so it leaned out your motor.

Good fix.
