Version 3 dashes, cable or digitial speedo?
Interested in knowing if the Version3 RA/ STI / WRX dash has a cable input for speedo or digital input from the loom?
Version 2 and previous are cable driven.

I'm in the process of changing a 1998 JDM dash into a 1996 JDM WRX. The 98 has electronic speedo. There are numerous other issues though such as different steering column, under dash bar, firewall!!! etc.

interesting,
currently looking at adapting a dash to a v2 loom, but with a digitial speed input, cable speedos suck.

not quite sure what info you are chasing, but i have a instrument cluster that i am told is from a 97 wrx (version 3?) and it is electronically driven. From the front looks pretty much the same as the earlier model. I think from memory it goes to 260 k/ph and 9000 on the tacho. I will be wiring this in my car when motor goes in, loom is from 98 model so should just need to find correct wire and join it to the earlier model connectors.

JDM V3 STI speedo is "cable" driven.........I've got a couple of JDM V3 my97 STI pods.

ok looking for a cluster that fits a pre98 dash that doesnt have a cable speedo input.

the one i have is the one you are after then, but its not for sale... fits the early dash but has electric driven speedo... i think it would be version 3 but from ADM not JDM...
if you just need to look at one let me know...
