Flat Spot
Hey, ive just recently purchased a 99wrx and ive noticed at about 4 grand in 3rd gear there tends to be a flat spot where it seems to lose a bit of boost ( dont have boost gauge yet so cant be sure ) this doesnt occur if u ease the throttle on only when u flat foot it or close to.
Does this sound like fuel delivery or something turbo related ?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys. ( car is stock, and the temperature of the car does not effect this condition at all ) Last edited by disc0-dan; 21-07-2007 at 03:54 PM. |

I had a similar problem with a supposedly stock MY99 that I had, turned out some idiot had put an extra olive in the turbo line & it was overboosting to 19psi, pulled it out & it was perfect. Might be worth having a feel.

Does it only happen in 3rd, or does it happen in all gears at that rpm?
