There is a Potentially More Effective Option to a Water Spray

But There is a Potentially More Effective Option to a Water Spray...
Many dedicated electronics stores sell so-called freeze sprays - an aerosol-style spray can that emits a powerful refrigerant chemical. Freeze spray is designed to rapidly cool electronic components, allow detection of intermittent thermal faults, dry joints and overheating problems. This Servisol-branded freeze spray can be bought for AUS$14.50 through Jaycar Electronics. The 250-gram can uses an environmentally-friendly non-CFC propellant and - like each brand of freeze spray we've come across - is non-flammable. This is very important when you plan to use it in an under-bonnet environment!

be hard to get good coverage and you can run the risk of damaging nearby plastics etc that aren't temp rated down that low.... things like rubber, maybe paint.. dunno, but then again, electrical circuit boards are pretty fragile.....

my 2 cents

an absolute waste of time, plus on a roller dyno- the runs are so inconsistent they could acheive 2kw just in the increase in heat retention of the headers.

Just load dry ice onto your TMIC... instant intake temp reduction... works a treat and i have done it practice.... Of course if your running Motec or something that you can advacne/retard the timing it makes it much more effective...
