Default Chug a lug

I had my filter(pod) and bov put in a few weeks back...just wondering if that actually mucks up the airflow of the car.

My car is completely stock other then those two things...but recently i noticed if i push it(red line or not)...ill get this chug during the transition from non-turbo range to turbo range. Also i get this power cut thing for like half of sec(maybe even less), but that happens pretty rare.

Does this mean my car needs a tune? Im pretty sure the problem is within the airflow. Mine is a MY99 Sti V6. Anyone know whats going on?

For starters throw the BOV away...stock is best. Then see how it goes.

Pod and BOV shouldn't normally affect a GC8 when you've got your foot down. Unless your pod is oiled and it has already coated your AFM hotwire and screwed it up.

The BOV will cause rich running when it opens between gears. Get rid of it.

Also remember My99 and 00 AFMs are very fragile compared to other WRXs and will eventually die. Really a matter of 'when' rather then 'if'.

what sort of pod filter did you stick on ? If its an oiled filter, you might be killing your air flow meter

seems to be a dip in the power curve maybe because its causing the car to run to rich..

maybe a better question is what bov? eg. full vent, hybrid, plumb back

could be a leaking BOV causing you to run overly rich and reducing power
