Default can someone help

hi guys, need some help.

I've been having this problem with my 97LTD wrx for the past month or so

the problem is when im taking off and im doing 60-80km/h in 2nd or 3th gear it sounds like the turbo cuts out. The car jumps back for a sec then picks up again. It also happends when im in 5th gear doing 130 and over every 30sec or so it would do that where it feels like the turbo cuts out.

can anyone help

You can be assured its not the actual turbo physically cutting out, it sounds to me like your car is hitting a fuel cut or boost cut for some reason..

Does it only do this when you are on full throttle?

Do you have a boost gauge at all..... If so what boost are you pulling when this happens? it does sound like boost cut.....

Something to check also,
If it hasnt always done that and you havent changed your mods or added some.... check the intake pipe that goes before the turbo.

Mine was doing the same and hittin boost cut very quickly..... found out it was a leak in the intake pipe. Weird yes, and didnt really make sence but since sealing it, it now doesnt do it.

Food for thought

Remove the BCV and clean it with metho or suitable solvent. Clean the air lines to and from it then retest...betcha its all sorted
If it is not then whats it cost you, let me know how you go
Cheers
