Default Tyres

hey guys
after 3 months of spirited driving and last weekend in the wet, cornered to fast, car slid into the curb - now my rim has some curb rash. I've learnt from my little indiscretion. bald tyres + wet weather + spirited driving = dickhead mistake. anywho

the tyres are just above the legal mark and i need to start saving for some new rubber.

any suggestions on rubber? ive got around $500 or $600 and i want something decent.

cheers!

From your avatar i assume you after 215/45R17? maybe try some Sumitomo's from Wheels World..their prices are really entry level and they can send the rim off to get repaired. Cost well best to get on the phone and shop around. Maybe also factor some money for some AHG driving courses for the future.

Save more money and get some good tyres. People may not believe it, but having a good set of tyres compared to a cheap set can really make a huge difference.

Remember, tyres are what connects you car to the ground. No point having all the power and suspension mods in the world if your tyres are shite.

id say hed be after 205/50/16's as they look like impreza rs wheels....

as for what to get, 500-600 will get you very entry level tyres, like bluestreaks, linglongs, tornados or the like as theyre is nothing real cheap in that size, not even at 'mates rates' prices...
