Figure I may as well dig up this old thread.
Just a quick question about alternators before I go out and buy one, are the alternators on the non turbo EJ20 the same as the turbo version EJ20? The guy I spoke to from Subaru said they were but just want some extra clarification. The car is a MY99 Gx. Cheers. |

For the same year I'd expect them to be the same.
Just check the plug on the back is the same...Some are 2 pin some are 3 pin.

You can also put a forester alternator on there with a small wiring change on the connections if you want more power.
