Genome diff back+Tune? - Perth-WRX.com

Hi all, just wondering does anyone know if I get the
STI Genome exhaust will I need to get a tune such
as verso due to the less air flow restriction or should
it be ok.

The car is an 07 wrx and as most of you know it they
run in limp mode with certain mods without a custom
tune.

You can do it without a tune - Are you talking about a diff back/cat back or full TBE system?

I did a full 3" TBE without a tune and it was fine - You just need a tune to get the most from your modification.

There is also an 02 sensor in the dump pipe, the common way to get around this is the resistor mod so that the ECU doesn't freak out.

Edit: Too many bourbons - Diff Back .. No tune needed.

you wont need a tune with just a diff back exhaust, but a tune even on a completely stock car can still yield good results.

wayno with a diff back u will be fine without a tune...

Only when u change the downpipe and remainder of the exhaust u will need a retune.

Its just the diff back muffler, will get another dylan spec TBE later on.

More for the rumble than power at this stage, keep the missus quite and
happy for a bit hahaha.

Shes scared If I get more power I will wrap this one around another tree,
in time she will forget and then the power hunger will be satisfied

Haha, my Mrs being an accountant was more worried about the coin of course.

Therefore i came up with a simple algorythm. How much did it cost she asks? Devide by 2 and add 10 percent.

I ran a Blitz NuR diff back muffler for 12 months (30,000kms) and no problem at all.. still got good mileage with fuel. will sound the bomb! there is a couple guys selling Genome.... Ie- 'Intra' & 'Vyper' and good prices too!
