hey guys need some help with the stupid brant keypad alarm.

tried to start my car today, turned to acc, punched my code in and nothing happened! engine light didnt turn on, "5" lit up then the whole keypad remained lit!!!

tried to enter my code in again whilst in acc but same thing happened "5" flashed up and then whole keypad lights again.......then after a few tries the siren goes off!

didn't touch my batt or my car be4 this so don't have any idea whats wrong with it. any help will be greatly appreciated as subaru dealers are opened till tomorrow! need help ASAP.

just thought i'd mentioned this but had a quick search but found nothing similar, and i need a quick answer! pm please if u can help.

ta mate i just done it abt 5 mins ago and yeah started to work again, but do i still need to bring car to subaru for master code? also, will this happen again after i switch ignition off?

Negative Should work fine from now on.

It shouldnt happen again but if its constantly doing it then I would suggest taking it down to Subaru and getting them to have a look at it.

get rid of it brant are shit anyway. upgrade mate avoid these hassels

yeh was thinking of upgrading to another alarm but at the mean time i need to sort it out.

disconnecting works fine atm, but every time i start up my car again the SAME thing happens, so i need to disconnect each time i start the car...

has anyone experienced this be4? and if so what do i need to do to fix it apart from bringing the car to the dealers.

sounds like a dealer trip to me. like master reset or something

Sounds like you need to take it back to the dealer.

Edit: Maybe give the dealer a call first and see what can be done over the phone. Have all your car's details ready - Rego, dealer's car number (usually usually stuck onto ur windscreen), etc.

Why change it? Brant aren't shit - The system works fine. I'd rather spend 10 seconds putting a code in than seeing my pride and joy been driven away by 6 social scum. Each to their own.

got my master code for free but now i have a new problem. it only takes my master code now.

after starting the car and switching it off, i tried to start it up again using my normal code, but then it wont work, only the master code will. any ideas how i can revert back to its old code?
