dont know what to do should i get a cai or just remove silencer...ppl have told me they do the same thing...

after comparing logs, gains arent there to justify the $300 on a new kit.

or make your own out of some PVC pipe for under $10

i've seen darren's CAI, he's drawing air thru the meshed fog light covers, but where would i draw air from if i still wanna keep my fog lights?

you could try the little triangular finned panel under the indicator. Should clip out, just mesh it up with something.

Resonectomy is a good option, leave it in place and cut the back out so it draws air from the guard.

I used the same method, worked really well. I kept the stock airbox, ran a 3" flexi pipe from that triangular panel straight into the airbox. Didn't bother with mesh as the filter in the airbox will keep ugly things from going through. Got better throttle response and top end urge (not dyno proven though, just my ass dyno). Trade-offs include louder intake noise and a BOV-like "whoosh" whenever I backed off throttle. Might be a bonus to some instead of a trade-off.

is your ass dyno a roller or hub type?

sorry, back on topic now.

I have been considering taking off the small snorkel bit that comes from the gaurd and back into the bay behind the headlight. Running a cai straight into this.
