Default Electric Windows

The winding motor in my driver's side electric window has gone to poop.

What kind of specialist should i see regarding this? I have tried to get in there myself but it seems to be a bastard of a job.

Also; the remote central locking motor has pooped itself (drivers side door) was able to remove this but not sure about who specialises in these windows/central locking things...

ditto for both.

if you want to try a quick DIY, see if there is any damage to the inside of the door. The most common issue with electric windows is that water gets into the control mechanism and damages it.

effectively = new controller.

but if you keen you could ensure that ther is current flowing out of the mechanism.

ill pass on the door locker. mines bust too. i have been informed that an aftermarket alarm + clicker is the cheaper option. as a new cliker is 150 a pop, while the unit itself is 300ish. add labout to that and it would be roughly the same to just chuck a new one in.

let us know if you find a good deal.

JWS has complete doors on special for $150, just go buy one & swap the guts over, lot cheaper than getting an auto sparky to do it, never know, you might get one the same colour or a damaged one for much cheaper.

Are u 100% sure its gone poop? I know mine is unresponsive sometimes, i took the button apart, threw some electrical cleaner on the contacts and put her back together.

She runs properly so far for a few months

my LHF passenger window switch is a bit gay.

i can open it from the main drivers control, but opening it from the LHF switch itself it will only open a little bit.

but after its open, you can close the window with its respective switch.
