Default Shaky clutch ..

Hey,

First of all, my clutch is an organic xtreme HD installed by tenagah about 4 months back.

Just one prob i have with it. It seems to be REALLY shaky in firse and reverse gear on friction point. The car moves forward and back fine(first and reverse gears) but theres this really rough shaking that you can feel and also hear with the window(s) down. Everything else seems fine when changing gears on the move(changing up and down) and even launching .. its not slipping at all aswell and the car dies right away when dumping the clutch in gear when stationary ..

And ive been quite tame with this clutch after frying my stock one so it hasnt been bashed too much.

What could the shaking be? Uneven flywheel(shouldnt be because i got it machined with the new clutch)? Something loose causing unevenness when engaging?

Any help will be much appreciated

Cheers
-Nick

Thats heavy duty for ya.
You have to be rough with it or keep the revs up unless theres something faulty with it..

Really? so your saying the shaking is normal?
Ive red and heard from a few people that the shaking is normal for HD's but it feels and sounds too rough to be normal ..

It hasnt been shaking this crazily until now, it seems as if its gotten worse since i got it .. Also, when i got it tuned a while back, the boys at ASG said it didnt feel right. I didnt think much of it then until now when its really starting to not feel right.

did you get the flywheel machined when you got the new clutch installed? You said you fried your stock one, so the flywheel may have been glazed from overheating the clutch face.

Don't know about Extreme, but with all the Exedy clutches they have a piece of paper saying that they do not offer warranty for warpage etc on performance clutches as this is very common in performance applications. I guess they just like to cover their own back. I have the sports tuf unit in mine (not the hd one) and it's fine

yeah bud, the harshness comes with the package, you have to keep revs up. i just installed the cushion button clutch from exedy, the new 9 puk one, took me about a week and endless stalls at lights to get used to it, basically keep revs around 1500 and ride it out. cant get rid of the shudder unfortunately, you gotta get used to it.

Cheers guys, im thinking the shaking is quite normal because when i ride the clutch out and keep revs high when down-shifting, everything seems fine and smooth. Ill take it to back to tenagah anyways just to show em what its like and go from there.

Thanks again, much appreciated.
